The Russell Group of 20 leading UK universities has published its first ever guide to post-16 subject choices.
Informed choices, is aimed at all students considering A-Level and equivalent options.
It includes advice on the best subject combinations for a wide range of university courses as well as advice on the best choices if young people don't know what they want tot study after school and need to keep their options open.

They are seeking 16-18 year olds to recruit onto their accredited training to gain suitable employment for career progression.
They work in partnership with www.apprenticeships.org.uk and have various job opportunities across the Midlands region, where learners earn a minimum of £95 weekly.
All Apprenticeships are made up of NVQ, Key Skills, Technical Certificate and Err and are tailored services to match precise needs with one2one support from a dedicated assessor right from day one.
Level 2 completion averages between 9-12 months and Level 3 averages between 12-18 months.

If you are 14 and over, and you need more time to reach a Level 2 qualification (GCSE A* - C or equivalent), Sandwell 14-19 learning through schools, colleges and alternative providers will be able to offer you Foundation Learning qualifications.
FLT qualifications allow you to follow a more personalised learning programme, gaining credit-based qualifications at Entry Level and Level 1. The balance of functional skills, personal and social development and vocational subject-based learning will help you to develop the skills you need for employment, further study or independent living.
