Introduction

The Westminster School meets the special education needs of students aged 11-19, with a statement for “Moderate Learning Difficulties Plus”. “The Westminster School is a good, caring school that provides an effective, individualised education for its pupils. There is an extensive range of accredited programmes available. The curriculum is further enriched by a good range of additional activities and clubs outside the school day.” (OFSTED 2006). The post-16 provision offers a variety of individually tailored courses at entry level and Levels 1 and 2, bridging the gap between compulsory education, further education and ultimately employment.
